Facepalm! FIFA 18 on Switch does not allow to join friends to play on the internet!

The console does not have a system of invitations or groups in its infrastructure!

The love-hate relationship between FIFA 18 and Nintendo Switch writes a new chapter in the game system over the internet. Although it is the most ambitious portable version of the franchise so far, the EA game will lose a lot of features present in the desktop version, such as compatibility with Frostbite - and the loss of The Journey in consequence. Today, we know that it will not be possible to join friends to play online, according to Eurogamer.

The reasoning behind this is that Nintendo does not have any system of invitations or groups included in the ecosystem of the Switch console, but rather each game looks for its own solution grouping itself in game rooms of the application for mobile (Splatoon 2) or with private rooms (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe).

It is up to everyone to blame the laziness of EA, Nintendo or both when it comes to offering this feature. FIFA 18 premiered yesterday in Switch, although it is also available on Xbox One, PS4, PC, and seventh-generation consoles.
